More races, more opportunities

A record number of women's cycling races took place in 2024. The men's racing calendar has also been switched to a women's version, so all Grand Tour races are now also run in a women's version - Tour De France Avec Zwift, Giro d'Italie Women and La Vuelta Femenina. At the same time, the 3 main races of the season, the so-called monuments, also have their women's version. This fact gives more opportunities for the presentation of team partners.

More fans, more equality

Last year’s Tour De France avec Zwift attracted an average of 2.9 million viewers, with 23.2 million people watching the race and its 8 stages. It is precisely the strong interest in women’s cycling that has prompted media outlets to offer live coverage of major races of the season. In addition, the UCI is taking decisions that will professionalize women’s cycling and is committed to promoting gender equality in sport.

The unstoppable rise of women's cycling

The interest of major companies in sponsoring professional women's teams is growing, which has led to the number of professional teams almost doubling in the last three years. In a survey by VIF , 65% of respondents confirm the growing trend and the rise in popularity of women's cycling. In addition, almost three quarters of respondents consider women's cycling to be an attractive sport.

Trends in the Czech Republic and around the world

According to research on the popularity of sports in the Czech Republic by the National Sports Agency, cycling is the third most popular sport. Over eighty percent of Czechs ride a bicycle in their free time. This trend provides a great opportunity for the creation of the first Czech, all-female, cycling team.
